The outdoor box is used to install Mastiff^® Reader outside for tracking real-time. This comprises of a box with wall mount holes and a lid with lock to secure the reader and the battery. This helps to protect the reader from dust and water pollution as they are installed outdoors as well.

It is a heavy box with a transparent lid through which the reader and the backup battery is visible. There are flanges on the sides to fix the box on to the wall with nuts and screws.

The box comprises of the reader, the backup battery, and the antennae cables. The antennae in the reader are exposed to the tracking device through the cables. One end of the cables are fixed on the reader, the other end is brought outside of the box and connected to the antenna.

There are 3 cables, one each for Wi-Fi, 4g and RFID. The reception or the transmission is very fast over a long range. The box has also few wedges to break open when required. Through such holes, the cables are brought out and connected to the antennae. As the box is transparent, the blinking of the LEDs on the reader is clearly visible indicating the functioning of the device.
